Meet Debra
I've been in the florist industry for 40 years, starting at 14-years old with work experience at school for Court Florist owned by Lee Craddock and also working weekends at Avenue florist owned by my godmother Marilyn Wright. I absolutely loved it and was offered a full-time job at Court Florist. After achieving my NZPF qualifications I worked for Jenny Burtt herself then adventuring overseas to work in Canada. Coming back I started my own business which I had for 18 years. In that time I became florist of the year for Teleflora and went to represent NZ and achieved 2nd and 3rd in different categories and 8th overall. After selling my shop to be a full-time teacher at of floristry at Polytechnic, then moving on to work in other flower shops I decided to open Fleur.
